I have American Home Shield and these guys were dispatched to fix my pool pump. I never heard from them after four or five calls to get status of the dispatch. Every call went to voicemail... If you don't have time to take on work from AHS, don't sign a contract with them!

Great experience with Nick at Hometown Pools and Spas! Good guy and very knowledgeable. Pool pump went out and home warranty company assigned me to Nick. He came out and confirmed pool pump was compromised. Installed new pump and now I'm up and running again in no time. They worked with me to coordinate their availability with my next day off. Thanks again Nick!!

We have a warranty service through AHS. Hometown Pools was assigned to us to repair our pool filter which needed a new gasket. The service technician came out spent 5 minutes at our home and said he had to order the part. He said he would be back Friday to install the part and to leave everything unlocked. It has been a month and he has never shown up. We have called many times and they will not return our calls. They would not answer the phone for AHS either. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. We requested a different company to repair our filter.

If I could - I would give this company zero stars. My warranty company uses them and a year ago, they came out to diagnose a broken pool filter and heater. At that time the technician did the assessment and told us AND the warranty company that parts were on order. Over the past year, I have called repeatedly and received NO answer or response to messages.Working with my warranty company, they were able to track them down and finally had a tech come back out. The tech was not knowledgeable and HIGHLY unprofessional. He left without letting my husband know what the status was. I had to call the owner and was first told to call his secretary. After two unsuccessful calls that went to voicemail - I called the owner back. He was finally able to call his tech and THIS time - a YEAR later, they tell us there is nothing they can do.When I asked what happened to the parts they ordered - the OWNER OF THE COMPANY told me that they were telling "everyone" that they were "ordering parts" even if they weren't b/c of supply chain issues and back ups. They submitted this status to my warranty company! When I asked why the tech didn't catch this last year - the OWNER OF THE COMPANY told me "he didn't know what was going on last year because he was in Prague".Never ONCE was there any empathy, apology or solution-finding from this man. This is NOT the way to run a business. If you are looking for a pool company - there are 100s of other options that would be much better than this one.

Hometown hooked me up with a sensor that alerts my phone when my pool chemicals are off. Super cool!

Used twice because of home ins. Both times tried to deny claim and have me pay out of pocket. 1st time for pool heater, second time for pool pump motor. 1st time, claimed pool heater issue was not do to natural causes (despite being over 15 years old). Had second opinion thru ins. and got replaced by different company. In regards to pool pump motor, said would have to do modifications since my pool motor was no longer available, insurance would not cover and my out of pocket would cost $1700 in addition to what they would collect from ins (an additional $600). Chose cash option with insurance and used different pool company. New pool company Informed me no modifications were needed, they had lied to me. Got motor replaced for total $800. They also charged my ins. a $250 service fee and was at my house for less than 10 minutes. Ins. only reimbursed me $300 as they took out Hometown Pool's $250 service fee. This company is a scam!

Best experience I've ever had with a home warranty contractor! They answered and returned my calls promptly, and had my pool pump repaired withing 24 hours. They followed up the next day to assure that everything was working as it should. Great, friendly service! Jackie is adorable!

The technician that came out to our house never told us what his diagnosis was and left the property. We tried calling for 2 weeks without response. He misdiagnosed our problem with the heater tried to argue about it. We finally got him to come back to the house to look at it again and he claims he rang the doorbell and knocked but 4 dogs in the living room didn’t hear him. He then refused to come back. This is the most unprofessionally run business. I wouldn’t trust them to fill my pool with water much less try and fix something. Do yourself a favor and call someone else.

Hometown Pools are amazing! In today’s society excellent customer service, product knowledge and craftsmanship are hard to find but not with Hometown Pools & Spas. I have the utmost confidence in their projects and service. Don’t waste your money elsewhere.
